DECOREX CAPE 2004 BEST STAND AWARDS  The Age of Aesthetics has arrived – and together with good design, it transforms our culture and economy in many ways. The successful exhibitor need a clear understanding of this new age to reach the consumer.  The winners of the prestigious Decorex Cape 2004 Best Stand Awards presented themselves and their products in the most creative and aesthetically pleasing way - still attending to the smallest detail and practical issues relating to exhibition stands.  “Not only did the winning stands receive the thumbs up from the judging panel, but also proved to be a hit with consumer and trade visitors to the show,” says Melanie Froneman, director of Decorex Cape.  The Decorex Cape Best Stand Awards are a powerful incentive for exhibitors. It recognizes those participants who excelled at turning a stand space into a distinctive experience-driven brand space.  The judging panel was Annemarie Meintjes, renowned décor expert,  John Autrad (SA Guild of Interior Designers Cape) Alison Wilde (KSA Cape) and Erica Elke, director of the Cape Craft Design Institute.  Best Large Stand Decorex 2004 Roger Martin Architects and Interiors  (Stand: dining room in the Sanlam SA Design Experience) Roger Martin, together with his team shared his design approach for the future with us all, using colored glass, leather, resin and crystal in innovative ways, and contrasted known materials with new and progressive styling. The look interpreted what Roger Martin believes is important now: pattern, technology, colour and social responsibility. Best Small Stand Decorex Cape 2004 Parmalat To win in the small stand category is the most challenging. This winning stand, designed by David Strauss, has proven that 9 sq m floor space can be a monumental stage, and that it can be done on a shoestring.  Best Stand Kitchens, Bathroom, Etc Decorex Cape 2004  AEG  Best Stand Hot Property 2004 Joint Winners – Pezula and Ocean Club Decorex Cape 2004 Certificates of Excellence: Testament to the overall high standard of the show is also the many certificates of excellence presented to exhibitors.
